Senior Software Engineer, Backend

As a Backend Software Engineer on the Platform Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and scaling core systems. You’ll be instrumental in developing platforms from the ground up, launching essential features for both developers and end-users, and improving our infrastructure to support seamless authentication and wallet services—helping to bring the next wave of users into web3.

This position is based in our New York City (NYC) office, can work in hybrid capacity

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the Platform Engineering team, which powers blockchain, key management, and data services. This includes patented DKMS technology as well as innovations in KMS, blockchain services, NFT minting, and data pipelines.
  
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to bring new features and products to life.
  
• Build solutions that benefit a wide range of users, including developers, end-users, and partners. Major projects include blockchain services, Delegated Key Management System (DKMS), NFT minting, and more.
  
• Work closely with both backend and frontend teams to deliver new capabilities and enhance existing ones.
  
• Implement best practices, contribute to internal documentation, and support team efficiency.
  
• Identify technical challenges and work towards solutions that improve productivity and system performance.
  
• Debug and resolve critical production issues, addressing multiple layers of the stack.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  
• 4+ years of backend and API development experience.
  
• Strong experience with MySQL and Python in production environments.
  
• Passion for building the future of web3 and making the internet more accessible to users everywhere.
