Position:Senior Software Engineer

Duties:Design and develop Java distributed application software, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of designs. Implement proof of concepts for testing and certifying open source and public telemetry solutions toidentifytheir fit for existing solutions. Performaccuratedocumentation and maintenance of software functionality. Modify existing software and services to correct errors, adapt to new demands, or improve its performance. Develop scalable, secure, robust, maintainable, and reusable code and software tools for managing configuration, deployment, monitoring, performance, availability, and alerting for test, integration, and production environments. Build enterprise level workflows using different programming languages, technology stacks, and deployment platforms to onboard application teams to use telemetry solutions. Drive the application development efforts by following agile development process, and help management in systems / software resource planning, tasks defining, tasks management, code reviews. Automate andOperate largescale distributed application deployments and help inidentifyingand resolving technical issues. Develop RESTful web services to integrate between Server side to Client Side.
Minimum education and experience required:Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.
Skills:Must have experience with: Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java,springand spring boot. Experience with Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, and Microsoft SQL Server. Experience configuring and deployingapplicationusing Apache Tomcat. Experience in opensource timeseries solutions including Prometheus, M3DB,Kairosdb, and Graphite. Experience implementing enterprise quality services mesh, using Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, along with monitoring tools including Prometheus and Grafana dashboards. Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins, Maven, and GIT. Experience working in various SDLC methodologies Agile, Scrum and Waterfall. Experience using ServiceNow, JIRA to record andmonitorthe stories and backlogs. Experience creating Helm charts to manage Kubernetes applications.Employerwill accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
