Senior Software Engineer

Bethesda, MD | Hybrid/Remote | 12-Month Contract

Seeking for a highly engaged and motivated Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement enterprise-level applications using ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, GraphQL, and TypeScript.

Core Work Activities:

  • Design and develop enterprise web applications using ReactJS, NextJS, TypeScript, NodeJS, and GraphQL.
  • Build and maintain responsive front-end user interfaces for high-performance, cross-platform experiences.
  • Develop and integrate GraphQL APIs for efficient communication between front-end and backend services.
  • Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure code quality across the team.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software issues across the full technology stack.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Lead or contribute to complex software development projects, driving technical decisions and project planning.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies to support iterative software delivery.
  • Manage source code using Git and command-line tools.
  • Work within a monorepo environment (Nx) to build and maintain reusable libraries and applications.
  • Develop, test, and deploy applications using Docker and modern development tools.
  • Analyze project specifications to estimate effort, identify risks, and recommend scalable solutions.
  • Mentor and support other developers, promoting engineering best practices.
  • Work independently to deliver sprint commitments while balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years of experience with ReactJS or a similar JavaScript framework.
  • Proven experience in designing and consuming GraphQL-based backend systems.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, NextJS, ReactQuery, GraphQL.
  • Experience with Docker for containerization and orchestration.
