Construction & Facilities Management

Senior Software Engineer

Contract to Hire · 6 months

$70–$75/hr W2

Hybrid · 2 days onsite · Seattle SODO

Full-time hours · Q2 start

This role sits at the center of a large-scale ERP migration from a legacy construction platform to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). You'll own the data migration workstream and support non-MuleSoft integration needs, working across legacy SQL/SSIS systems, D365 APIs, and everything in between. High visibility, hard go-live date.

What you'll do

Data migration

Design and build SQL-based ETL scripts from the legacy ERP into D365 F&O. Execute mock migrations, validate and reconcile data, support cutover planning.

Legacy system modernization

Assess and refactor SSIS packages and SQL Server Agent jobs. Document embedded logic and collaborate on what to replace with API-based integrations.

Backend & API development

Build supporting services and utilities in Python, PowerShell, or C#. Develop D365 data entities, DMF packages, and OData integrations. Write test harnesses and QA tooling.

Required

  • 5–8 years of backend or data-focused software engineering
  • Expert-level SQL — joins, window functions, stored procedures, performance tuning
  • Hands-on SSIS package and SQL Server Agent job experience
  • Experience with large-scale data migration projects (ETL, reconciliation, cutover)
  • Proficiency in C#
  • Comfort working from incomplete or undocumented legacy systems

Highly preferred

  • D365 F&O — DMF, data entities, OData APIs, or X++ basics
  • Azure Data Factory or Synapse Analytics
  • REST API and OAuth 2.0 integration patterns
  • Prior ERP implementation or migration programs of similar scale
