Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Experience: 5+ Years Employment Type: Full-time Location: Remote Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 per year Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build and improve scalable web applications, internal tools, console applications, and RESTful APIs. This role works within an Agile engineering team and focuses on reliable software delivery using C#, JavaScript, Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, and modern development practices.
The ideal candidate takes ownership, collaborates well with technical and business teams, and continuously looks for ways to improve products, processes, and engineering quality.
Key Responsibilities- Develop medium- to large-scale web applications, console applications, and RESTful APIs using C# and JavaScript.
- Work with developers, technical leads, project managers, and strategists to understand requirements and estimate work.
- Build new solutions and enhance existing applications based on business needs.
- Create and maintain internal tools that improve development efficiency and issue response.
- Follow and help improve coding standards and development best practices.
- Actively participate in code reviews and contribute constructive feedback.
- Build packages and deploy software to integration environments using Microsoft Azure, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Collaborate throughout the Agile software development lifecycle from planning through release.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience developing web applications and RESTful APIs using C#, JavaScript, and Microsoft MVC.
- 5+ years of experience with software design patterns, debugging, and code refactoring.
- 3+ years of experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular; React is preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and databases such as CouchDB, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with Visual Studio and related Microsoft development tools.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude to improve code quality and productivity.
- Experience with source-control tools such as Git or SVN.
- Experience with continuous integration and automated build tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience creating and maintaining RESTful microservices.
- Experience supporting multiple products, projects, or client environments.
- Strong testing and quality-assurance practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work.
- Familiarity with search-engine optimization best practices.
Education- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Analysis, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
