Senior Software Engineer

KODE Labs, headquartered in <\/span><\/span>Detroit Michigan<\/span><\/span><\/b> is seeking a<\/span><\/span> Senior Software Engineer <\/span><\/span><\/b>to join our growing team in Detroit<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/b>In this role, you''ll be responsible for designing and building resilient and scalable services and modules for our platform. You will work closely with the product/lead during the definition phase and collaborate with the team during the development phase by providing feedback and code reviews.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

WHAT YOU WILL DO:<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/p>

• Design and build resilient, scalable backend services using Java (Quarkus/Spring Boot) OR develop high-performance, responsive frontend features using Angular 20+ and TypeScript.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>

• Collaborate closely with Product and Technical Leads during feature definition, planning, and prioritization<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>

• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code while ensuring high standards for performance, scalability, security, and maintainability<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>

• Optimize application performance, including backend efficiency and frontend page-load times<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>

• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality across the team<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and actively share knowledge and best practices with the team<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>4+ years of professional experience designing and delivering high-quality, enterprise-grade software solutions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>Strong experience in <\/span><\/span>EITHER<\/span><\/span><\/b> Java-based backend development (Quarkus or Spring Boot) <\/span><\/span>OR<\/span><\/span><\/b> modern frontend development (Angular 20+ and TypeScript).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>Familiarity with Kubernetes and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>Strong communication skills with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional, agile team.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>Experience conducting code reviews and a desire to share knowledge and best practices with the team.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>Experience with MongoDB, Redis, or other NoSQL databases<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>Experience with ClickHouse or other time-series / analytical databases<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/p><\/li>Experience with modern frontend tools (Nx, Angular Signals, RxJS, etc.)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
