You will work close to system internals, focusing on query routing, storage engines, schema evolution, and performance optimization across technologies like Vitess, MySQL, RocksDB, and MyRocks.
Responsibilities include building reliable, low-latency data services for billions of transactions, ensuring correctness, observability, and operational safety, and contributing improvements to open-source projects.
Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience, strong programming skills (Java, Go, C, or C++), and a deep understanding of distributed systems, database internals, and performance tuning.
Preferred qualifications include contributions to open-source infrastructure projects and experience with large-scale OLTP platforms.
Salary ranges from $160K to $240K plus benefits and bonuses.
