Kforce has a client in Armonk, NY that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer -Offshore (React/Next.js/C#). About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help design and build next-generation digital products within the energy and utilities domain. This role offers the opportunity to work at the early stages of product development-shaping solutions that address critical business challenges such as grid modernization, customer engagement, operational efficiency, and sustainability. As a key member of a cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, UX specialists, and business stakeholders to define problems, validate ideas, and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and validation through delivery and iteration
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems, define solution approaches, and refine product scope
  • Design and develop modern, responsive web applications using React and Next.js
  • Build and maintain robust backend services and APIs using C#/.NET technologies
  • Translate complex utility/energy workflows into intuitive and efficient digital experiences
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Advocate for best practices in frontend and backend development, including code quality, testing, and security
  • Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in frontend development using React.js and Next.js
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET for backend/API development
  • Solid understanding of web application architecture, RESTful APIs, and microservices
  • Experience with modern UI/UX principles and responsive design
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguous, early-stage product environments
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
  • Knowledge of systems related to grid operations, asset management, or customer platforms
  • Exposure to data-driven products, analytics, or IoT integrations within utilities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
