Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance Tester to support enterprise web application testing and quality assurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead manual and automated testing efforts across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.

The consultant will develop and execute automated and manual test cases, perform database validation, conduct performance testing, and collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure application quality. Candidates with prior experience supporting Federal, State, Local, or Education agencies are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents.

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.

• Execute manual, functional, integration, system, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Java, TestNG, and Playwright.

• Perform SQL queries for database validation and data integrity testing.

• Execute performance, load, and stress testing using JMeter, WAPT Pro, or similar tools.

• Validate application workflows and automate end-to-end business processes.

• Document defects, test results, and testing summaries.

• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve application defects.

• Support accessibility testing and compliance validation.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate test automation development.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint testing, and continuous integration activities.

• Maintain test artifacts, documentation, and quality metrics.

• Support production validation and post-deployment testing activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience testing complex web applications.

• Extensive experience testing all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Advanced SQL and database testing experience.

• Hands-on experience with Java and TestNG automation.

• Experience developing automation frameworks using Playwright.

• Experience with performance testing tools such as WAPT Pro or Apache JMeter.

• Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI tools for generating automated test scripts.

• Experience with workflow-driven automation.

• Experience using Atlassian Jira.

• Experience using Zephyr test management.

• Previous experience working with a Federal, State, Local Education Agency, or similar public-sector organization (minimum 3%2B years preferred).

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
