Senior Solutions Engineer, Strategic Accounts

THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE:

As a QTS Senior Solutions Engineer for our Enterprise Strategic Accounts team, you will serve as the primary technical resource supporting both sales and operations. You will identify and define customer requirements throughout the evaluation stage of the sales process and develop tailored technical solutions to meet their business objectives. You will address both business and technical questions, clearly demonstrating the value of QTS products, services, and connectivity solutions. As the trusted technical advisor, you will collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and present technical designs, contractual requirements, and service order information, ensuring a seamless customer experience from solution development through implementation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Design complex infrastructure solutions for Enterprise Strategic Accounts, supporting customers with hyperscale-level technical, operational, and scalability requirements, while partnering with sales personnel to develop solutions with minimal supervision.
• Present advanced technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through demonstrations, technical review, and design/proposal presentations.
• Effectively communicate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with operational staff as it relates to initiatives that affect the Solutions Engineering Team.
• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Five or more years of experience in Sales Engineering, preferably focused on custom infrastructure designed solutions or applicable customer facing experience
• Five or more years of experience specific with large enterprise and hyperscale colocation design to include mechanical and electrical design, power, cooling and networking is strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of experience working in data center infrastructure (space, power, connectivity) or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent written and presentation communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex technical topics to varying customer audiences (administrators to executives)
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines while supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.

The estimated pay range for this role, if based in Virginia, is:

$157,030.58 - 240,141.62
