The Specialist for AWS PXT Business Operations and Internal Engagement serves as the operational engine of the AWS PXT people agenda - owning the mechanisms, cadences, and communications that keep a global HR organization aligned, accountable, and connected. This role sits at the intersection of business operations, AI-enabled process design, and employee engagement, and is responsible for translating strategic priorities into repeatable, measurable execution.

The position has evolved along with technology. What began as a cadence management and engagement role now encompasses AI-native automation of business review mechanisms, full ownership of the AWS PXT goals program, and leadership of the internal engagement and communications strategy for the AWS PXT organization. The right candidate will bring operational rigor, innovation, speed, and a builder"s mindset - someone who doesn"t just run processes but continuously improves them through technology, data, and design thinking.

The opportunity here is to build, not just run. AWS PXT is actively reimagining how its operating model works in an AI-native world, and this role is where that reimagination becomes real. The person in this seat will automate business review mechanisms using AI and agentic workflows, own the goals program that touches every senior HR leader across AWS, and lead the internal engagement strategy that connects a globally distributed team to shared purpose. The right candidate brings operational rigor and a builder"s instinct - someone who runs processes with precision today while continuously improving them for tomorrow.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Business Cadence & Rhythm of the Business
  • Owns the full AWS PXT cadence: WBRs, MBRs, QBRs, offsites, and strategic planning (3YP, OP1/OP2)
  • Drives business reviews including metrics dashboards, goals dashboards, and offline review packages
  • Manages long-range and annual planning processes; coordinates cross-functional alignment mechanisms
  1. AI-Enabled Automation
  • Leads automation of business review mechanisms using AI tools and agentic workflows
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce manual effort, increase speed, and improve data quality
  • Serves as the team"s AI adoption champion - testing tools and embedding practical applications into cadences
  1. Goals Management
  • Manages annual goal uploads, dashboards, monthly reviews, and stakeholder coordination across all AWS PXT sub-teams
  • Runs semi-annual 1:1 goal reviews with HR Senior Team Leads; produces "Goals Health" reporting
  1. Internal Engagement & Communications
  • Leads internal communications programming: Global Town Halls, CloudKeepers forums, PXT Huddles, and recognition programs
  • Owns the engagement calendar and tracks sentiment metrics to guide programming decisions
  • Manages leadership messaging and maintains permission groups for communications and data access
  1. Strategic Partnership
  • Partners with AWS PXT Leaders on QBR documents, People Plan development, and cross-functional coordination

About the Company

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
