Our client, a world leader in life sciences, is looking for Senior Specialist, Laboratory IT & Systems Support in Foster City, CA.

Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate: $76/hr on W2

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Laboratory IT & Systems Support to support laboratory computing environments, scientific instruments, laboratory software, and IT infrastructure within a regulated biotech/pharmaceutical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory computers, instrument-connected workstations, deployments, upgrades, and retirement.
  
• Support laboratory instrument software, vendor applications, and connectivity.
  
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and laboratory technology issues.
  
• Coordinate network connections, security patching, and compliance activities.
  
• Maintain CMDB records and laboratory technology inventories.
  
• Partner with IT, LIS, Digital & Data, Facilities, Quality, and instrument vendors.
  
• Support laboratory expansions, relocations, renovations, and startup activities.
  
• Develop technical documentation, support procedures, and operational standards.
  
• Lead or support laboratory IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  
• 5+ years of experience supporting laboratory IT, laboratory systems, or scientific instrumentation.
  
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or regulated laboratory environments.
  
• Experience working with instrument vendors and enterprise IT teams.
  
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
