Role description

Agile Coach Release Train Engineer

This role is responsible for optimizing the flow of epicsfeatures and the value delivered by a Agile Release Train ART and is focused on serving the needs of the train to drive performance and growth Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating the ART ceremonies managing dependencies across teams in the ART and providing visibility into the health of epicfeature delivery and the overall program increment This role ensures impediments to epicfeature delivery are resolved quickly and protects the teams from outside disruptions to delivery In addition they promote and coach the Agile mindset and principles empowering individual teams to become selfmanaging and fulfill their crossfunctional potential

Responsibilities

Guide and coach the teams on the Agile Release Train on Scrum practices and develop their understanding of Agile principles

Help define normsagreements for the ART and enforce the agreements

Coordinate and facilitate ART ceremoniesfor example Backlog Refinement Program Increment PI Planning ART Sync or PO Sync Scrum of Scrums System Demos and Retrospective

In collaboration with the Product Manager ensure the program has a healthy productprogram backlog

Facilitate dependency managementrisk managementimpediment removal for the ART

Promotefacilitate communication and collaboration within the ART to support value delivery and PI commitments

Responsible for providing status updates and reporting pertaining to ART plansdeliverytimelinesimpediments to stakeholders and leadership

Ensure Enterprise Change Management and other policy requirements for technology solutions are met for the epicsfeatures delivered by the ART

Measure ART delivery maturity and performance and review the metrics with the ART to identify improvement opportunities

Capture data to help determinetrack product funding and resource acquisition needs

Mentor more junior Scrum Masters and Product Owners

Required Skills

Scaled Agile Framework SAFe certified with 35 years prior Lean Agile Release Train

Experienced as Release Train Engineer and Agile Coach for 57 years

Proficiency in JIRA JIRA Align

Experienced in working with geographically distributed Teams

Proficient knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework and ability to ensure the program and portfolio level stakeholders adopt these practices

Experience providing leadership skills for driving an Agile Release Train ART using the Scaled Agile Framework SAFe

Expert facilitator will be responsible for facilitating feature refinement prioritization other ART ceremonies and Team level ceremonies

Prior experience in leading all SAFe ceremonies Program Increment PI planning Scrum of Scrums SoS ART Sync meetings Solution Demos and Inspect Adapt IA workshops

Capability and mindset to be a servant leader of a Release Train and responsible for listening to and removing impediments for geographically distributed scrum teams

Experience as a Scrum Master working with multiple Teams

Work location Pennington or Jersey City

Need to travel to NYC at least once in two weeks

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual''s skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
