Senior Specialist - Social Media, PR & Reputation

Job Summary:

The Senior Specialist - Social Media, PR & Reputation, part of the Digital Marketing team, will own both the strategy and execution of Lexicon and Cordell & Cordell's external presence including organic social media, PR, and online brand reputation. Success will require effective project prioritization based on business impact and effort.

This role would be a great fit for an experienced communications professional who doesn't just set strategy and hand it off, but rolls up their sleeves to write the post, pitch the reporter, respond to the review, and track the results.

Responsibilities:

• PR
  • Drafts, pitches, and coordinates press releases and other media materials with reporters, leadership, and external partners, ensuring announcements drive external awareness and elevate the firm's brand reputation
  • Monitors brand sentiment and mentions using social listening tools, flagging reputational risks early and surfacing engagement opportunities
  • Serves as a day-to-day point of contact for inbound media and reputation-related inquiries, looping in leadership and other key stakeholders as needed
• Organic social media
  • Plans, creates, and publishes social media content across the firm's profiles to grow brand visibility and support demand generation
  • Continuously refines external messaging using performance data and audience insights, A/B testing language, format, and channel mix to improve resonance and conversion
  • Actively participates in relevant online communities, forums, and conversations where the brand has a credible voice, building goodwill and visibility (such as Reddit)
• Online brand reputation
  • Owns the firm's online reputation, including Google Reviews, Glassdoor, Indeed, and other public review platforms — directly monitoring, responding to, and driving improvement in ratings and visibility in partnership with the recruiting and client experience teams
• Reporting
  • Reports on engagement rates, site visits, leads generated, and review ratings across the various focus areas
  • Translates results into business-impact narratives for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

• Required Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or closely related field preferred
• Minimum Years of Experience:
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience personally executing (not just overseeing) at least two of the following: organic social media, PR/media relations, online reputation management, or community engagement, in an agency or in-house marketing/communications function.
• Other Requirements (Knowledge, Skill, Ability, and Licensure(s)):
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone across press releases, social posts, and review responses
  • Experience with social media management and listening tools, and comfort interpreting performance data to refine messaging
  • Experience personally pitching media and coordinating press release execution end-to-end
  • Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor who sets strategy and executes the day-to-day work
  • Self-starter/proactive approach, identifying and presenting new opportunities
  • Hybrid work location: in-office in the Town & Country, MO office and work-from-home offered
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
• Preferred:
  • Prior experience in a professional services, legal, or healthcare industry environment
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing online reputation and review platforms (Google Reviews, Glassdoor, Indeed), including responding to reviews and driving profile improvements
  • Experience with relevant social monitoring and review managements tools such as Meltwater, Hootsuite, Birdeye and Yext
