Our Client, a Financial company, is looking for a Senior SRE/ Network Engineers for their  Richmond, VA/Plano, TX location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The role will support the Network SRE organization and will require candidates capable of both operational support and engineering execution within a highly visible enterprise environment.
  • The team supports a wide range of technologies including Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, Broadcom (formerly Blue Coat) proxy solutions, network access control technologies, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Described group as the “help desk for the network organization,” serving as the first line of support and escalation for network-related incidents across the enterprise.
 
Requirements:
  • Strong Cisco networking background (routing and switching).
  • Palo Alto Firewall experience is considered mandatory.
  • Palo Alto certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise network security environments.
  • Knowledge of VPN technologies and network connectivity management.
  • Experience with load balancing technologies such as F5 LTM and GTM.
  • Familiarity with DDoS mitigation and security operations.
  • Ability to work within an SRE operating model.
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident response capabilities.
  • Experience supporting production environments in a 24x7 operational setting.
  • “Nice-to-have” skills include:
  • Broadcom/Blue Coat proxy technologies.
  • Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
  • Aruba/HP wireless technologies.
  • Cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
  • Python scripting.
  • Splunk experience.
  • Datadog experience.
  • AI and Gemini-related tooling exposure.
  • Soft Skills and Behavioral Requirements:
  • Beyond technical qualifications, success in the role depends heavily on communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Candidates must be able to:

  • Coordinate technical teams during production incidents.
