A growing real estate development and property management organization in the North Suburbs of Chicago is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support accounting operations across corporate entities and operating real estate properties. This role will focus on general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and assisting with the close process.Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile general ledgers for corporate and property-level entitiesPrepare journal entries, including accruals, amortization, and intercompany transactionsAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare financial statements and supporting schedulesReconcile bank accounts and monitor property-level cash activitySupport accounts payable and receivable functionsEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policiesPartner with property management and finance teams to resolve discrepanciesAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects as neededQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of accounting experience (real estate or property accounting preferred)Strong general ledger and financial reporting knowledgeExperience with accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Sage Timberline, or similar) and Microsoft OfficeStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesCompetitive benefits package including medical coverage, 401(k) with employer match, paid parental leave, and paid time off.#J-18808-Ljbffr
