Accountant

Location: Columbus, IN
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
Reports To: Controller

Position Summary

The Accountant will support the company's accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and inventory accounting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to grow within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations.
Assist with month-end and year-end close.
Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
Support inventory accounting and physical inventory processes.
Analyze financial data and investigate variances.
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Assist with audits, budgeting, and forecasting.
Support ERP system processes and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
3+ years of accounting experience.
Manufacturing and inventory accounting experience preferred.
Strong Excel and ERP system skills.
