Pay or shift range: $75,000 USD to $95,000 USD.The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related reasons.DescriptionSummaryThe Senior Staff Accountant plays a vital role in the financial operations of an organization, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all accounting processes. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.ResponsibilitiesPrepare general ledger account reconciliationsReview month‑end schedules and analysisPrepare and post journal entries and accompanying supportPrepare and review month‑end financials for accuracyPrepare other month‑end reports as necessaryMaintain fixed asset schedules and post monthly entries for depreciationMatch invoices to the appropriate capital requestWork with maintenance and IT to make sure that we capture all disposalsUpdate tax depreciation schedulesPrepare and post payroll entriesPrepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliationsBe involved in the annual audit by responding to audit requests and tax requests as neededAssist with the annual budget processUpdate and distribute departmental worksheetsAdjust departmental worksheets as necessaryAssist with the creation of various budget schedules and filesPrepare calculation of standard labor and overheard ratesRequired Qualifications/Skills:Ability to manage multiple projects/deadlinesAbility to be productive without constant supervisionAbility to think critically and analyze various processes and financial dataStrong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsDesire to advance within the company and to grow professionallyRequired Education and Licensing5+ years of working as a staff accountant in a manufacturing or industrial distribution company or public accounting experience auditing manufacturing or distribution companies.Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldCPA is requiredMedicalVisionCompany Paid Life/ADDVoluntary Life/ADD401k with Employer MatchVacationPersonal Time*Watchfire is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
