Job Overview: The Senior Staff Accountant position is responsible for general accounting duties and analysis.  Includes general ledger duties, reporting duties, tax accounting duties, and miscellaneous special projects.  This position is in the Burroughs Corporate office and is located in Elmhurst, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upload payroll entries.
  • Book the monthly payroll accrual entry.
  • Monthly payroll account bank reconciliation and other bank reconciliations.
  • Enter PO requests in the system.
  • Review/approve monthly A/P invoices.
  • Initiate wire payments to vendors.
  • Account reconciliations.
  • Report the income statement, balance sheet and other items into HFM for monthly reporting, quarterly reporting and forecasting/budget.
  • Handle any tax items.

Primary Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years experience in accounting and finance

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to multiple internal software systems
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Prefer experience with large ERP systems such as Oracle
  • Strong communication skills with team members throughout the organization
