Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Dover, DE

Schedule: Full Time, Days

Salary: $82,950.40 to $128,564.80 annually

Medical Edge Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant for a full-time permanent opportunity in Dover, Delaware.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate insurance accounts receivable operations
• Supervise billing, collections, account follow-up, and reimbursement activities
• Monitor AR performance and implement process improvements
• Lead and mentor team members through coaching, training, and performance management
• Collaborate with physician practices, revenue cycle leadership, and operational departments
• Analyze reports, identify denial trends, and improve reimbursement performance
• Ensure compliance with government and commercial payer regulations
• Utilize Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB) systems to support revenue cycle operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
• Minimum of 5 years of patient accounting, third-party reimbursement, or revenue cycle experience
• At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing, collections, and denial management
• Experience with Epic HB/PB preferred
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
