DescriptionRegular responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant include completing monthly closing process for divisional and corporate entities. The Senior Staff Accountant will review and prepare journal entries, analyze and publish financial statements.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare financial information monthly/quarterly/annually using approved company financial reporting toolsEnsure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering journal entries. Assist in month-end close processes and reconciliationsPrepare interim and year-end audit work papersAnalyze general ledger accounts and interpret data utilizing spreadsheetsMaintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules for internal GAAP books and tax for multiple legal entitiesProvide ERP software support for locations nationwideOccasional overnight travel is possible with this positionParticipate in continuous improvement efforts supporting various business segmentsPerform other related duties as required and assignedRequirementsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of related experience, required3+ years of accounting experience, requiredAccounting experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment, strongly preferredAdvanced skills using Microsoft ExcelWillingness and ability to train operational partners in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, requiredExperience with Microsoft Dynamics Ax, a plusJob Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong organizational skillsThorough knowledge of general accounting principles and best practicesAbility to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional levelMathematic competenceSelf-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work independently***This employment advertisement is not applicable to individuals who reside in the states of California or Colorado.***#J-18808-Ljbffr
