Our team values professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Staff Accountant who enjoys variety in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in helping businesses operate efficiently and successfully.This role offers the opportunity to work closely with ownership and leadership while having a direct impact on daily operations and financial performance across multiple companies.Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant will oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting and financial operations for multiple entities with limited daily supervision. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of balancing accounting responsibilities with operational and administrative support.The position works closely with ownership, third-party accountants, vendors, and internal team members to ensure accurate financial reporting, efficient processes, and timely completion of all accounting functions.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial OperationsManage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice entry, vendor maintenance, account reconciliations, and payment processingManage full-cycle Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, deposits, and account balance reconciliationMaintain general ledger accuracy, including journal entries, expense coding, reconciliations, and related-party transactionsAssist with monthly and year-end close processes, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting supportCoordinate with external accountants and CPAs for tax filings, compliance reporting, 1099s, sales tax, CAT tax filings, and year-end reportingProcess payroll, including commission calculations, payroll review, and payroll administration through third-party softwareAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisReconcile credit card statements, expenses, and vendor accountsManage money market accounts, transfers, and paymentsProperty & Business AdministrationSupport property management accounting functions, including lease setup, rent rolls, utility and tax bill-backs, tenant billing, and lease trackingBill and track rent, utilities, and property-related paymentsMaintain vendor contracts, agreements, and service provider relationshipsWork closely with the inventory team to reconcile invoices and ensure timely paymentsCollaborate with ownership and external partners to improve processes and maintain operational efficiencyAdministrative & Team SupportAssist with HR-related administrative tasks such as PTO tracking, personnel records, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and payroll discrepanciesSupport daily office operations and general administrative functions as neededMaintain organized and accurate financial and operational recordsContribute to a positive, team-oriented environment and assist with additional projects as neededQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred5+ years of accounting experience requiredExperience with multi-entity accounting and/or property management accounting preferredStrong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite requiredExperience with ADP RUN and/or The Edge software is a plusSkills & AttributesStrong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reportingExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize, multitask, and manage deadlines across multiple entitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentialitySelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyAdaptable and comfortable in a dynamic, growing environmentPositive attitude with a hands-on, team-first mindsetAdditional RequirementsAbility to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screeningStrong attendance and reliabilityOccasional flexibility in schedule may be needed based on business demandsWhy Join Us?Opportunity to work closely with leadership and make a meaningful impactDiverse and engaging work across multiple businesses and industriesCollaborative, supportive, and team-oriented cultureStable and growing organization with long-term opportunity#J-18808-Ljbffr
