Brief Job Description

Internal applications will be given priority consideration for the position of Manager of Facilities Business Operations.

This position supports the AVP for Facilities & Planning by overseeing procurement activities, contract management, and departmental financial analysis. It manages purchasing for materials and service contracts, tracks spending, and identifies opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies. The role also provides supervisory oversight for key operational areas, ensuring that procurement decisions align with departmental needs and budget priorities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, or contract management
  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, or expense monitoring
  • Experience working in facilities, operations, or related service environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage vendor relationships
  • Supervisory or team lead experience
  • Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, capable of lifting 50 pounds, able to work in varied indoor and outdoor environments
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor negotiations
  • Ability to analyze financial data, monitor spending trends, and identify cost saving opportunities
  • Proficiency in budget tracking, financial reporting, and preparing analysis for leadership
  • Understanding of facilities operations to support informed purchasing and contract decisions
  • Effective communication and cross departmental coordination skills; able to convey technical and non-technical information
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and supervisory abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and timelines
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others
  • Be adaptable and comfortable working in a traditionally hands on, field focused environment where communication styles may be direct
