Senior / Staff Full Stack Software Engineer (TypeScript) – Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior/Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale mission-critical products used at high volume. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about building reliable distributed systems, shipping production code, and solving complex technical challenges.

You'll work across the entire stack—from frontend to backend to infrastructure—while collaborating with a high-performing engineering team in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deploy scalable full-stack applications from concept through production.
• Architect and optimize high-throughput distributed systems running on AWS.
• Develop backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, Express, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Build modern frontend applications with React.
• Design scalable relational database schemas and optimize query performance.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Docker.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and operational excellence with an SRE mindset.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality software.
• Participate in AI-powered product development, including experimentation, evaluation, and data-driven product improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 7–25 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years as a Senior or Staff Software Engineer.
• Strong experience building full-stack web applications from design through deployment.
• Proven expertise with TypeScript in production environments.
• Strong backend development experience using:
  • Node.js
  • Express
  • GraphQL (Apollo preferred)
  • PostgreSQL
• Strong frontend experience with React.
• Experience designing and scaling high-throughput distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Terraform.
• Experience designing scalable relational database schemas.
• Familiarity with Docker and modern cloud-native development.
• Understanding of AI-assisted product development, including LLM workflows, experimentation, evaluation, or dataset curation.
• Strong knowledge of software security best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at high-growth technology startups, unicorns, or FAANG companies.
• Experience building software where the product itself is the company's core business.
• Fintech experience is a plus.
• Active GitHub profile with meaningful open-source or personal projects.
• Strong side projects demonstrating engineering excellence.
• History of long-term impact and career progression within organizations.
