 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
  • Lead sourcing efforts for critical, high-value components from vendor identification through evaluation, selection, and implementation
  • Drive cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives, including negotiation, value engineering, and supplier consolidation
  • Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to support business growth, capacity, and risk mitigation
  • Partner with suppliers to resolve quality, delivery, and capacity constraints, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Act as the supply chain lead on new product development and high-priority projects, ensuring supplier readiness and alignment to timelines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Production to support design, cost, and manufacturability objectives
  • Provide support on critical supply issues and escalations, working with transactional buyers to ensure continuity of supply
  • Track and report on key metrics including cost savings, supplier performance, and project milestones, with visibility to leadership
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds 
  • Willingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots) as needed
  • Ability to travel domestically as well as internationally as necessary (up to 10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or like field preferred
  • 5+ years direct Purchasing and/or Supply Chain experience with both domestic and overseas procurement
  • Practical problem-solving approach to supply issues, business-minded, results-oriented, and a team player
  • Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve procurement problems
  • Exceptional vendor relations management 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P.
