Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager

Greater Boston or Cleveland (Hybrid)

Growing specialty materials manufacturer seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to lead sourcing initiatives across a diverse portfolio of raw materials, chemicals, polymers, additives, and specialty ingredients. This individual will play a key role in developing sourcing strategies, strengthening supplier partnerships, managing supply continuity, and supporting the organization's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct materials, including polymers, resins, additives, chemicals, fillers, pigments, and specialty ingredients.
• Lead supplier negotiations involving pricing, contracts, service levels, and long-term supply agreements.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation.
• Manage supplier performance, allocation challenges, and supply chain risk mitigation initiatives.Identify and implement cost savings opportunities while maintaining quality, service, and supply continuity.
• Monitor market conditions, commodity trends, and supply chain dynamics to proactively address risks and opportunities.
• Support inventory optimization and working capital improvement initiatives.
• Participate in supplier audits, business reviews, and strategic planning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Direct experience sourcing chemical raw materials, specialty chemicals, polymers, resins, additives, ingredients, or other manufacturing raw materials is required.
• Demonstrated success negotiating supplier agreements and managing key supplier relationships.
• Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies for direct materials.
• Strong understanding of supplier relationship management, supply chain risk mitigation, and market intelligence.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
