You'll work across projects for railways, highways, related transportation projects and, of course, bridges.Key ResponsibilitiesManage bridge design and plan developmentField investigations, inspections, and repair recommendationsType studies, structural designs, preliminary through detailed, including quantity calculation and construction cost estimating, load rating, construction monitoring, expert opinions related to bridges, civil structures and other structuresInvolved in business development, managing your own transportation and infrastructure projects and taking a forward‑facing role with the clientQualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering, or equivalent, a master's in structural engineering preferredSE license is required for IL, WV, or OH or ability to obtain licensure within 6 monthsCertification as a registered professional engineer (PE) in Ohio, West Virginia, or Illinois is requiredAt least 10+ years of professional experience in bridge design or structural design in transportation or highways projectExperience working on structural bridge design projects in Ohio, West Virginia, or IllinoisExposure to other structural projects is a plusFamiliarity with AutoDesk and Bentley products, and bridge design software such as LARSA, SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, OpenBridge, CsiBridge, MIDAS, AASHTOWARE Bridge Rating, and MDXBenefits & RewardAt Mott MacDonald, our employees have a stake and a voice in our business, providing them with a direct connection to our success through our personal and group performance bonuses.
