Senior Structural Engineer

Job Summary (List Format):

- Position focuses on structural engineering within the nuclear industry, emphasizing nuclear design and design-construction.
- Requires strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, IBC, Section III, ASME, AISC).
- Involves seismic qualification, seismic isolation, and dynamic analyses (seismic and impact-based).
- Responsibilities include civil and structural design, and modular design development of SSCs (Structures, Systems, and Components).
- Candidate should have experience working with design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit).
- Entails close collaboration with designers and manufacturers to develop models and drawings.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's and PE preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant structural engineering experience, with recent nuclear design project experience.
- Experience in nuclear industry and familiarity with NRC/regulatory interactions preferred.
- Strong knowledge of strength of materials, structural mechanics, and geotechnical/geophysical engineering.
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently complete complex technical tasks with minimal supervision.
- Position is remote; U.S. citizenship required due to security clearance (no visa sponsorship).
