ACIBuilds.com Summary/Objective:We are seeking a Senior Structural Steel Detailer to join our team and play a key role in producing high-quality structural steel fabrication drawings. This position requires a strong understanding of fabrication and construction processes, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and fabricators. In this senior-level role, you will help lead projects and give direction to junior detailers.Essential Functions:Lead Revit modelling and detailing for complex projects, define standards, and ensure deliverables meet fabrication and erection requirements with minimal oversightOwn larger scopes of fabrication projects, develop detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla StructuresInterpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design intentResolve complex connections and clashes, performing QA/QC final checksProduce shop drawings, erection drawings, BOMs and NC files, and material take-offsCoordinate with engineers, project managers, junior detailers, and fabrication shop personnel to ensure accuracy and efficiencyEstimate efforts and support client communications when necessaryReview and check drawings for quality, completeness, and compliance with project standardsManage revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycleAssist in resolving design and fabrication issuesRequired Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Revit Detailer (structural steel) with leadership experienceAbility to work independently while leading projects for the detailing teamAdvanced proficiency in Tekla StructuresStrong knowledge of AISC codes, engineering judgement, and relevant industry standardsAbility to read and interpret construction documentsExperience with clash detection and coordinationExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesPreferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Revit Detailer (structural steel) and experience as a team leadSome Tekla experience is prefered but not requiredExperience working with fabrication shops or on-site construction teamsFamiliarity with BIM workflows and integrationWork Environment:Works in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment Position may require visits to construction siteFlexible work arrangements (if applicable)Physical Demands:This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machineTravel:May require infrequent travel Visit us at www.acibuilds.com for more information!Final compensation will be determined based on applicable experience, education, licensure, skills, and other relevant factorsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer--Senior Tekla Detailer
