Responsibilities
• Performing testing on low, medium, and high voltage breakers including Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and Timing tests. • Completing mechanical work and repairs on breakers, including tear down, refurbishment and parts replacement. • Painting breakers and parts. • Wiring circuit breakers. • Utilizing and accurately reading meters. • Reading schematics and wiring drawings. • Troubleshooting circuit breaker controls. • Reading and plotting time-current curves. • Testing power and current transformers, including Power Factor and TTR. • Accurately and consistently documenting using Power DB.
Qualifications
5 years' related experience in substations, power plants, primary power distribution and related protection and control schemes. Minimum 2 years of substation power systems experience. Licensures and Certifications: NETA 2, 3, or 4 preferred. Education: High School Diploma.
Work Requirements
• Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors. • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management ability. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). • Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English. • Valid Driver's license and good driving record.
