Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee the successful delivery of complex life sciences construction projects throughout the Blue Bell area. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction leader with a proven track record managing ground-up and renovation projects in highly regulated environments, including laboratories, research facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturing spaces, biotech facilities, and cleanroom environments.

Description

The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for managing all field operations on life sciences construction projects from groundbreaking through turnover. This individual will lead project teams, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, ensure quality control, and uphold strict safety protocols.

Key responsibilities include overseeing daily construction activities, managing project logistics, conducting site meetings, coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants, and proactively resolving construction challenges. The Senior Superintendent will monitor project progress, enforce contract requirements, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain detailed project documentation.

The role requires extensive experience working within active campus environments, laboratory settings, pharmaceutical facilities, cleanrooms, and technically complex MEP-intensive projects. Success in this position will come from a strong ability to lead teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and deliver exceptional project outcomes

Profile

A successful Building and Construction Senior Superintendent should have:

  • 10+ years of construction supervision experience
  • Proven experience delivering life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, or cleanroom projects
  • Strong background managing commercial ground-up and renovation projects
  • Expertise in scheduling, safety management, and quality control
  • Knowledge of GMP environments and regulated construction practices preferred
  • Ability to coordinate complex MEP systems and specialty installations
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and field personnel
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus
