Senior Superintendent - Pasadena Affordable Housing

Client Details

A rapidly growing Southern California General Contractor is seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee the field execution of large-scale multifamily and affordable housing developments.

This is an opportunity to join a builder with a strong pipeline of work and take ownership of complex walk-up, podium, and wrap-style multifamily projects ranging from $20M to $60M+ in value.

The ideal candidate is a proven multifamily construction leader who brings extensive experience delivering residential projects from site mobilization through final turnover, with a deep understanding of multifamily building systems, sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination. This individual must have successfully led the full lifecycle of multiple projects valued up to $50M+ and possess a strong background in podium, wrap, and walk-up construction.

Description

Our Lead Superintendent will be responsible for:

• Lead all field operations from project start through completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors and daily site activities.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules.
• Conduct Three-Week Look-Ahead planning.
• Drive production while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage site logistics, sequencing, and trade coordination.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, ownership groups, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Lead field meetings and provide project updates.
• Identify and resolve field challenges proactively.
• Maintain project milestones and schedule commitments

Profile

The ideal Superintendent will have:

• 10+ years of construction experience with a strong focus on ground-up multifamily projects.
• Extensive experience leading walk-up, podium, and wrap-style developments, with a thorough understanding of the unique challenges, sequencing, and construction methodologies associated with each product type.
• Proven track record serving as the lead Superintendent on multifamily projects ranging from $20M to $50M+ in value.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects through the entire construction lifecycle, from preconstruction planning and site mobilization through certificate of occupancy and final turnover.
• Strong understanding of wood-frame over podium construction, multifamily MEP coordination, inspections, quality control, and project closeout.
• Ability to independently lead all field operations, manage subcontractors, and drive project schedules to successful completion.
• Experience coordinating multiple buildings, phased turnover schedules, and complex site logistics.
• Affordable housing experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Job Offer

We are offering this role:

• Base Salary: $160,000 - $175,000
• Target Bonus: Approximately 20% of Base Salary
