About the role:
As a Senior Supplier Performance Engineer - Electrical you will support fabrication of electro-mechanical components at supplier facilities. You will report to the Manager, I&C Supplier Performance and work remote. 100% Remote Role.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform On-site and Remote supplier oversight activities to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements are achieved.
Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans to guide on-time completion of critical document submittals and manufacturing activities.
Identify and escalate supplier risks. Drive prompt resolution of issues by issuing communications and coordinating activities with all partners.
Monitor supplier performance metrics, such as On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, and Deviation Notices, for assigned suppliers. This monitoring helps to identify negative performance trends. Implement Causal Analysis (RCA), Corrective & Preventive Actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans to reduce issues.
Evaluate procurement (supplier) risk, soliciting partner input, and using tools to develop security of Supply Risk Mitigation Plans.
Provide regular progress reports to the team Partners (Project Manager, Program Director) and the SPE Leadership team
Perform Technical Evaluations of our suppliers to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, compliance with applicable regulations, codes & standards, and any associated risks.
Identify gaps between supplier capabilities and Westinghouse Technical / Quality requirements to establish and implement Development Plans.
Lead Supplier Development and Qualification activities, Supplier Improvement projects, and Cost Reduction efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical/Automation Engineering or similar
4+ years of progressive experience in Engineering/Manufacturing.
Knowledge in manufacturing processes: electromechanical assembly, printed circuit boards, cable assemblies and harnesses, electrical cabinets, sensors, molding, testing, and inspection.
Experience performing Supplier Evaluation/Qualification.
Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans (Inspection and Test Plans), PFMEAs.
Project Management Experience: leading multiple, concurrent, projects.
Familiarity and experience with IPC / IEEE / ASME standards (norms, codes, technical specifications, drawings).
IPC or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Certifications preferred.
Experience with nuclear products and standards desired.
30% travel domestic and internationally is expected
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
