North Ogden combines smalltown charm with exceptional access to the outdoor recreation that defines Utah!Position SummaryThe Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer provides a range of expertise to ensure that incoming materials are free of flaws and function as specified. Investigate, analyze and resolve supplier quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends and leading continuous improvement projects.Job Core ResponsibilitiesWork with Purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implementedIn cooperation with Corporate Quality functions, maintain and update critical supplier audit system and scheduleConduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvementMonitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPIsEstablish specific short / long-term supplier quality goalsChampion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformancesIssue and ensure timely processing of supplier corrective action requests (SCARs)Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supplyDevelop long-term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideasAid Manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined new product development processStrategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting Parker Meggitt requirements.
