WHAT CAN RELIAS OFFER YOU?
Senior Support Engineers lead resolution of complex escalated technical problems for customers, ensuring exceptional user experience and driving customer satisfaction. Senior Support Engineers drives the stability and efficiency of our services by providing advanced troubleshooting for data integrity and code functionality issues, developing and maintaining innovative scripts for automation, diagnostics, and data correction, collaborating with senior Cloud Management and software development colleagues. Senior Support Engineers also coach and mentor junior staff and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
* Lead application support colleagues in resolution complex application issues, and champion SLA and KPI adherence
* Develop advanced processes for automation, diagnostics, and data maintenance
* Collaborate across departments for issue resolution and incident management.
* Perform code reviews and promote quality and process adherence.
* Mentor junior support engineers and system analysts.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of support processes and solutions.
YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:
* Bachelor's degree
* 4 years experience in back-end technical support of SaaS applications
* Ability to analyze, query, and maintain data across relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL, document, key-value) databases; understands data modeling, indexing strategies, and data consistency tradeoffs in distributed environments
* Ability to diagnose complex issues across microservices, APIs, and cloud infrastructure; understands service dependencies, latency, fault isolation, and eventual consistency
* Proficiency in using logs, metrics, and traces to monitor system health, investigate incidents, and proactively identify anomalies using modern observability platforms
* Ability to debug and validate REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication flows, and service-to-service communication, including rate limiting, retries, and failure patterns
* Ability to leverage AI tools (copilots, LLMs, intelligent agents) to accelerate root cause analysis, automate repetitive support tasks, generate scripts, and enhance knowledge discovery
* Ability to design and implement scripts and lightweight automation for diagnostics, remediation, and data correction using modern tooling (e.g., Python, PowerShell, workflow automation platforms)

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:
Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30/40 days/quarter.
