Job Description
Seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to independently support accurate and timely weekly and biweekly payroll processing for U.S. multi-state employees. The role involves payroll validation, reconciliation, off-cycle payrolls, banking transactions, reporting, issue resolution, and audit support.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly/biweekly on-cycle and off-cycle payrolls.
- Validate payroll data, reconciliations, payments, and third-party files.
- Handle direct deposit rejects, stop payments, reversals, and payroll banking issues.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to payroll inquiries and provide excellent employee support.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve payroll issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and accuracy.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience preferred; 2+ years may be considered.
- Oracle HCM Cloud experience preferred.
- Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data manipulation, and analysis.
- Knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud, ServiceNow, and UKG Timekeeper preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and confidential information.
Preferred Certifications: PCP, FPC, or CPP.
