Pennoni is seeking an experienced
Survey Party Chief to join our field surveying operations in the Hampton Roads, VA area. In this role, you will be Responsible for the daily operation of a survey crew on a wide range of land surveying projects (geodetic, boundary and topographic, and construction staking).
Responsibilities- Manage field crew in normal survey field operations for construction, property surveys and design surveys.
- Coordinate field layout for buildings and sites.
- QA/QC site control and layout information from the office.
- Read and understand construction plans and property plats.
- Manipulate digital cut sheets and point data in files.
- Oversee field instrument operations.
- Client communication on job sites.
- Manage use of field data controller and file transfers.
Required experience: - High School Diploma
- Minimum years of experience: 8-12 years with a concentration in commercial construction.
- Capable of field work which may include heavy manual labor
- Logical mindset
- Adaptive understanding of problems
- Experienced in field staff management
- Solid math skills
Preferred Qualifications - Experienced in Excel spreadsheets and computers
- Experienced in modern survey technology and equipment
- Looking for growth in professional career
- Knows some AutoCAD
TARGET SALARY RANGE: $62,400 - $90,000 (per year) or $30-$45 per hour based on experience
