This role involves a high level of expertise in surveying software, data analysis, and project coordination. This role involves increased responsibility and serves as an important link between entry-level technicians and more senior survey staff.Key ResponsibilitiesData Management and AnalysisLead the transfer, organization, processing, and analysis of field data, working collaboratively with the survey team to maintain the highest data integrityCoordinate with the project team on the development and review of the field package, field procedures, and general project lifecycleUtilize advanced software and tools for data processing and analysisWork closely with Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to learn how to analyze final boundary decisions.Team Leadership and MentoringProvide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced techniciansAssist Survey Technicians I & II in task assignments, work scheduling, and project coordinationClient InteractionCommunicate with clients and project managers, ensuring that project requirements are met, issues are addressed, and project progress is reported accuratelyQualificationsAn educational background in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferredMinimum of 3+ years of civil construction experience.5+ years of experience using Civil 3D.Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans.3+ years of experience with construction staking calculations.3+ years of experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC).The Senior Survey Technician works in the office, providing technical support and leadership in surveying operations.
