Senior System Administrator

We are hiring a Senior Systems Administrator to support mission-critical applications in a secure environment. This is an opportunity for an experienced systems professional with strong Linux administration expertise to work across modern and legacy technologies supporting essential applications.

Oracle experience is highly valued for this role, particularly for candidates who can support legacy application environments. Candidates with the right combination of technical expertise and clearance eligibility will be well positioned to contribute.

What You’ll Do

• Administer and support Linux-based systems and environments.
• Support mission-critical applications and the underlying infrastructure they depend on.
• Work with legacy application and database environments, including OracleDB.
• Support systems operating on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, and 9.
• Work with security and system administration technologies including FIPS, SELinux, firewalld, and fapolicyd.
• Support application environments utilizing technologies such as Java, JPA, JAX-RS, JCE, Hibernate, Spring, JavaScript, Apache Ant, Apache HTTPD, and Apache Tomcat.
• Work with databases and related technologies including Apache Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and OracleDB.
• Apply general Linux system administration expertise to maintain and support secure technical environments.

What You’ll Bring

• Security+ certification.
• Strong Linux and systems administration experience.
• An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• A CI Polygraph is preferred, and candidates with an existing polygraph will be prioritized.
• Candidates with an active TS/SCI without a CI Polygraph may still be considered when their technical qualifications are a strong match.

Work Location

This is a full-time onsite position. Work may be performed at one of the following locations:

• Reston, Virginia
• College Park, Maryland
