The Senior System Educator works in conjunction with other education and healthcare professionals to improve learners’ performance with personalized, engaging, and relevant learning experiences. These learning experiences ultimately influence the care of the patients HCA Healthcare serves.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior System Educator develops, delivers, and maintains learning programs in support of the implementation of HCA Healthcare’s Electronic Health Records. These learning programs are developed for corporate, division and facility executives, clinicians, and financial analysts. Delivery methods include live virtual training/asynchronous or web-based training, combined with other technology-based solutions using a blended learning approach.
This role also fulfills the role of subject matter expert relating to the ITG system applications.
Duties may also include collaborating with peers in any combination of the following:
Develop and deliver learning experiences focused on the implementation and use of applications and associated systems
Collaborate in development of new and on-going modifications of all designated courses, including the responsibility for teaching courses and for keeping materials updated
Work with project teams, instructional designers, media specialists, subject matter experts and business partners in the development of course content, training materials, agendas, lessons plans, and presentation materials for assigned courses
Deliver instructor-led courses, including classroom, live virtual classroom, and web-based training
Coordinate the change control process for assigned modules to ensure the training environment remains in sync with production for their assigned application area(s)
Maintain an understanding of production changes and properly communicate to affected stakeholders
Serve as core member for assigned ITG application systems training projects
Collaborate with other educators in the development of new learning experiences
Adhere to project management plans under the mentorship of the Consulting educator, including understanding of resource estimates, development timelines, delivery timelines, scheduling and communication and coordination of internal project participants
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Education Delivery and Instructions, or Instructional Design - Required
EXPERIENCE
5 or more years of experience in Healthcare Setting, Education Delivery and Instructions, or Instructional Design - Preferred
Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
TRAVEL
The role may require up to 25% travel
