Job Description:

We are seeking a highly technical Senior Systems Administrator with deep Collibra expertise and strong software integration experience. This role will serve as a senior technical resource supporting the organization's data governance platforms, systems administration environment, and application integrations.

The ideal candidate is more than a Collibra user or data steward. They should have hands-on experience configuring Collibra, developing workflows, managing integrations, and supporting connected applications. This person will take ownership of complex technical initiatives, identify solutions with limited direction, and help establish stronger integration and systems administration capabilities across the team.

The Senior Systems Administrator will work with platforms supporting data governance, sensitive-data discovery, data classification, and enterprise systems. The role will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to other administrators and help establish scalable processes for platform management and integration delivery.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration, software engineering, application integration, data governance technology, or a closely related technical field

• Expert-level hands-on experience with Collibra, including configuration, asset models, workflows, Business Glossary, Data Catalog, Lineage, and platform administration

• Demonstrated ability to independently configure and administer Collibra rather than serving solely as an end user, steward, or data consumer

• Experience designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting application integrations using APIs, middleware, REST services, or similar integration technologies

• Strong Python or Java development experience, with the ability to build scripts, automation, and integration solutions

• Experience working with data sensitivity, data discovery, classification, or security platforms such as BigID, Imperva, or comparable technologies

• Linux administration experience, including command-line operations, application administration, troubleshooting, log review, and executing Linux commands

• Experience integrating enterprise applications and data sources across multiple systems

• Experience working with structured data sources such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server

• Understanding of unstructured data sources such as Microsoft 365, Box, email, documents, and network file shares

• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, web services, middleware, data movement, and system-to-system integrations

• Ability to troubleshoot integration failures, application issues, authentication problems, data mapping issues, and system connectivity problems

• Strong understanding of data governance concepts, metadata management, data lineage, data classification, and sensitive-data discovery

• Ability to independently evaluate a business objective, determine technical requirements, establish priorities, and develop a practical implementation roadmap

• Strong documentation, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Bonus/Soft Skills:

• Collibra Ranger certification or active progress toward certification

• Experience with Collibra APIs and advanced workflow development

• Experience integrating Smartsheet or project management platforms with Collibra

• Experience connecting application inventories, data assets, projects, business assets, and governance metadata

• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated deployments, or infrastructure automation

• Experience supporting hybrid or on-premises enterprise environments

• Financial services or banking experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience mentoring system administrators, developers, or technical analysts

• Strong ownership mentality with the ability to operate independently and provide technical direction to others

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
