Senior Systems Analyst Investor Engagement

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst Investor Engagement to support front and middle office investment operations for a leading global asset management organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trade lifecycle management, capital markets, investment management systems, and production support. This role requires close collaboration with portfolio managers, traders, investment analysts, and technology teams to ensure the stability and efficiency of investment platforms supporting Equity, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Alternatives, and Hedge Fund businesses.
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to investment professionals by providing functional, technical, and production support while driving continuous improvements to investment systems and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide production and application support for front and middle office trade lifecycle management systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investment professionals regarding system functionality, data, and technical issues.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application, trading, and investment data issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring production issues.
  • Manage high-priority production incidents, including leading bridge calls during critical system outages.
  • Support trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, allocations, settlements, confirmations, and reconciliation.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Investment Analysts, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of investment applications.
  • Document business requirements, functional specifications, and support procedures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance investment platforms and implement new functionality.
  • Validate production fixes and coordinate software releases.
  • Participate in testing, UAT, and production deployments.
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and operational excellence.
  • Support investment reporting, portfolio analytics, exposure, and P&L calculations.
  • Communicate effectively with both business users and technical teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Application Support experience within Capital Markets or Asset Management.
  • Strong understanding of the complete trade lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience supporting front office or middle office investment applications.
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting Order Management Systems (OMS) such as Charles River Development (CRD), Murex, Aladdin, ThinkFolio, Bloomberg AIM, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products including:
    • Equities
    • Fixed Income
    • FX
    • Futures
    • Options
    • Swaps
    • Forwards
    • Derivatives
  • Experience working with:
    • Holdings
    • Transactions
    • Security Master
    • Performance
    • Attribution
    • Portfolio Analytics
  • Experience supporting production environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, business-critical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Charles River Development (CRD).
  • Experience with Murex.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet, or Refinitiv.
  • Familiarity with FIX protocol and electronic trading workflows.
  • Experience with investment accounting and reconciliation processes.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience using Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Basic understanding of scripting using Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience with cloud platforms is a plus.
