Role: Senior Systems Engineer – Telecommunication & Mobility Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 12+ Months
Overview: The Client is seeking a Senior Network/Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and support WiFi and WAN connectivity across locations. This is a hands-on field role — expect outdoor work, off-hours deployments, and travel to sites across.
What You'll Do:
Design and implement Starlink-based WAN connectivity integrated with Cisco Firepower/FTD firewalls across Parks sites — including firewall config, routing, NAT, VLANs, and security policies
Build standardized Starlink + firewall architecture with primary/backup WAN, failover, monitoring, and documentation
Lead network modernization activities: VLAN/subnet/gateway changes, switch and firewall replacements, cutover planning, testing, and rollback
Assess existing Parks networks for legacy configs, capacity issues, and security gaps
