Job DescriptionAutoZone is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Apigee solutions. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop scalable and secure Apigee architectures, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Apigee technologies and excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, configure, and troubleshoot APIs and policies using ApigeeX.Define overall API architecture, integration, deployment of API management platforms, and API security and access control (SAML, WebSSO, SSL/TLS, etc.).Health checks & monitoring for Apigee components and APIs using various tools, and configuration management systems.Apigee gateway knowledge and cloud architecture and security.Experience with high availability, load balancing, failover, and DR configuration with Apigee.Supportand upgrade Apigee production and non‑prod environments.Implement API best practices and performance tuning.Manage installation, configuration, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex issues.Deploy proxies and other Artifacts of the Apigee environment, update configurations, collect logs, and monitor health.Build and support the API throughout its full lifecycle.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.6 to 8 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Apigee solutions in a large‑scale production environment.Unix shell scripting and Ansible experience; CI/CD experience (setup desirable).Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.Maintain documentation for technical deliverables when applicable.Prepare and participate in presentations and demonstrations of developed solutions.Collaborate and work closely with other team members.Participate in agile meetings (sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily status meetings, story pointing).Provide L2/L3 support for the Apigee platform to ensure high availability.Work on production support incidents, service requests, changes, and ensure SLAs are met.Help consumers and IT stakeholders by providing solutions for issues reported in the platform.Lead root‑cause analysis sessions to understand production issues and develop preventive solutions.Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, and AppDynamics.Effective communication and collaboration skills with a cross‑functional mindset.Certifications such as Apigee Certified, Kubernetes Administrator, GCP, or related certifications are a plus.About AutoZoneSince opening our first store in 1979, AutoZone has grown into a leading retailer and distributor of automotive parts and accessories across the Americas.
