Date Posted: 2026-02-19Country: United States of AmericaLocation: Fort Wayne, INPosition: Senior Systems Engineer - Electronic Warfare (Onsite)Overview The Electronic Warfare and Airborne Sensors department within the Space and Air Sensors organization has an opening for an Electronic Warfare, Senior Systems Engineer to support design, development, and testing of cutting‑edge EW technology and sensor systems across multiple programs.What You Will Do Understand customer functional and operational needs and participate in requirements decomposition, ensuring proper allocation of technical elements.Support system integration and testing, including design verification, fault identification, failure resolution, and production acceptance.Provide engineering support to lab test and qualification activities, overseeing evaluation and analysis of hardware and firmware performance.Assist with customer inquiries, field failures, product obsolescence, system enhancements, new product development, and transition to production.Evaluate and assess the performance of developmental EW systems, including signal processing subsystems.Support bid and proposal efforts by providing labor and material cost estimations.Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.Minimum 5 years relevant experience (unless prohibited by local law).RF system design, digital/analog signal processing, waveform and signal modulation analysis, or algorithm implementation and testing.Occasional business travel (20% or less).Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and ability to obtain a full Secret Security Clearance afterward.U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.Preferred Qualifications Experience with development, implementation, and testing of RF jamming algorithms.Proficiency with MATLAB, PathWave ADS, and/or PathWave EMPro for RF system simulation and design.Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++ or Python and exposure to software development and scripting.RF receiver/exciter product design, development, and/or test experience in the Electronic Attack (signals jamming) sub‑domain of EW.Embedded systems and embedded programming; experience with FPGA hardware design/implementation.Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools (e.g., Cameo).Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence); DOORS for requirements management.Benefits Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.Relocation assistance available.Health, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts.Flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, holidays.Annual short‑term and long‑term incentive compensation programs (dependent on level and collective‑bargaining status).Equal Opportunity Employment RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
