Description:
Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to support an extensive modernization program critical to the customer's mission success. The Senior Systems Administrator will support a mission-critical enterprise environment, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and operational continuity across all applicable infrastructure and operational environments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with defined system architecture(s)
- Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components
- Install and configure systems (Linux preferred)
- Manage system updates, patches, and upgrades
- Configure and maintain servers
- Automate tasks using scripting
- Maintain and create custom scripts in support of customer requirements
- Monitor system performance
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure uptime
- Support the accreditation/compliance with DISA STIG baselines
Qualifications:
Required:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Hands-on Linux administration experience (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
- Experience implementing secure access, managing users, groups, permissions
- Strong scripting, automation, and troubleshooting experience
- Experience provisioning instances in the cloud (AWS preferred)
- Significant DevOps experience

- TS/SCI – Full Scope poly
- Security+CE
