Senior Systems Engineer

Motive Workforce is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer for a multi-site advanced manufacturing organization in New Kensington, PA.

This hands-on senior role supports enterprise IT across a multi-site manufacturing environment. The position owns complex technical escalations while leading infrastructure modernization, cloud initiatives, and enterprise technology projects.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex hardware, software, endpoint, identity, and infrastructure issues.
• Lead system migrations, upgrades, new implementations, and modernization projects from design through operational handoff.
• Design and support hybrid environments across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, VMware, and on-premises infrastructure.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, MFA, identity governance, and least-privilege access controls.
• Support Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune, Defender, and other Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage Windows 10 and 11 endpoint environments and Windows Server environments through Server 2022.
• Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificates, virtualization, and hybrid identity.
• Design and support firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, wireless access points, and Fortinet equipment.
• Support cloud and collaboration migrations, including tenant-to-tenant and post-acquisition integrations.
• Implement automation and scripting that improves reliability and reduces manual work.
• Create SOPs, knowledge-base articles, and technical documentation.
• Mentor IT team members and provide clear technical guidance across the organization.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of enterprise IT experience delivering and supporting complex systems.
• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure administration experience.
• Strong Microsoft 365 experience, including Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, and Exchange.
• Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificates, hybrid identity, and Windows Server through 2022.
• Experience supporting Windows 10 and 11 enterprise environments, including upgrade planning and mixed deployments.
• Experience designing hybrid, multi-forest, multi-tenant, and multi-cloud environments.
• Hands-on exposure to Azure Government, Microsoft 365 GCC High, AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP, ITAR, or other regulated environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, prioritization, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Fortinet networking and security equipment.
• OT networking in a manufacturing setting.
• ITIL processes.
• CAD systems such as SolidWorks.

Location and Compensation

• This role may be based in Commerce City, CO; New Kensington, PA; Rock Hill, SC; Wilmington, MA; or Rochester, NY.
• Hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
• Compensation varies by location: $89,000- $152,000   annually
