Senior Systems Engineer Public Cloud (Hybrid- San Diego)

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for a large, global B2B high-tech company. In this role, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug infrastructure as code, software-defined compute & storage implementation, and software programs for enhancements and new products.

This is a 24-month contract (Extension possible), 40 hours per week, hybrid role, 2 days onsite at client's office in San Diego, CA.

This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs infrastructure as code, software-defined compute & storage implementation, and software programs for enhancements and new products.
• Develops software and tools in support of design, infrastructure, and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, cloud-based and Internet-related tools.
• Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience with the following skill areas: AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Linux & scripting (Bash / Python), Cloud networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing), IAM / access management
• Public Cloud 101 level working experience, hands-on: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Networking understanding, how to, both on-prem and with Public Clouds
• Infrastructure as code (IaC), hands-on, working experience deploying, managing, supporting, debugging.
• Deep technical knowledge of troubleshooting compute & storage infrastructure within Public Cloud (specific to Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Managing services running in Public Cloud at scale. Regional, Zonal, and worldwide scenarios.
• Working within SPRINT / Agile models with daily stand-up and weekly SPRINT process (SCRUM, etc.)

Compensation: $70/hr - $76.67/hr.
