Our Toronto client is seeking a high-caliber, Senior Systems Integrator Specialist to join their team.

In this role, you will act as a core technical contributor, providing heavy hands-on engineering, advanced support, and architectural input for enterprise-level cloud migrations and application modernization initiatives.

Your mission will be to architect the future of our digital infrastructure: seamlessly transitioning critical systems to the Azure cloud, migrating legacy integration pipelines, and ensuring the absolute stability of our enterprise messaging and file-transfer platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Migration Engineering: Drive Azure cloud migration activities from blueprint to execution, including environment design, application/integration migration, DevOps/Platform engineering, and post-migration performance stabilization.
  • Application Modernization: Lead the modernization of our integration layer by refactoring and migrating legacy MuleSoft flows into high-performance, Spring Boot-based microservices.
  • Enterprise Platform & Messaging Support: Provide tier-3/senior-level technical support for Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat AMQ, and IBM MQ. This includes technical impact analysis, remediation, deep vendor coordination, and complex release management.
  • Secure Infrastructure Management: Contribute to the hardening, optimization, and ongoing support of gateway and file infrastructure, specifically IBM DataPower and Managed File Transfer (MFT) services.
  • Production Excellence & Operations: Troubleshoot complex system anomalies, perform deep root-cause analysis, and tune performance in high-availability production environments. Author and maintain pristine technical documentation and operational runbooks.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Enterprise Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of recent, hands-on enterprise software development or systems engineering experience, with a proven track record in senior technical or advanced tier-3 support roles.
  • Cloud & Containers (7 Years): Demonstrated hands-on mastery supporting Azure cloud migrations, deploying large-scale applications on Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO), and implementing hybrid network/firewall/connectivity security designs.
  • Java & Integration Architecture: Strong hands-on development expertise with Java and Spring Boot microservices. Proven experience ripping out and modernizing legacy integration platforms (specifically migrating MuleSoft to custom Spring Boot).
  • Enterprise Messaging: Direct experience managing and configuring complex, high-throughput messaging environments using IBM MQ and Red Hat AMQ within OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters.
  • Gateways & MFT: Practical experience supporting IBM DataPower appliances and Managed File Transfer (MFT) protocols.
  • Data & Modern DevOps: Advanced SQL proficiency (specifically performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization) paired with practical GitOps and Argo CD deployment experience.
  • Agile Collaboration: Adept at working inside high-velocity Agile/Scrum teams alongside Technical Leads, Solution Architects, and Product Owners.
  • Deep familiarity with Linux/Unix server administration in complex, mixed-technology environments.
