We are looking for a senior system validation engineer who will drive and contribute to post-silicon validation of hardware with software based on customer use-cases of NXP's Automotive grade products. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality, performance, power and reliability of the complete system, leading up to automotive qualification through comprehensive validation processes.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
System Validation planning - Develop and implement detailed validation test-plan covering all hardware and firmware configurations and develop validation methodologies/infrastructure to achieve the coverage
Test development - Develop self-checking test-cases using Python and C/C++ in embedded CPU build environment.
Collaboration - Work closely with Design, DV, Analog and Firmware teams to debug, root-cause and resolve any issues that may arise during validation. In addition, work with FAE teams to understand customer use-cases and failures and reproduce the same.
Firmware releases - Document test results, meta data analysis and FW QA coverage reports. Communicate the same with stakeholders, including customers.
Automation - Develop various scripts, web-based tools to automate both system validation and FW QA tests as well as collecting reports and diagnostics data

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is: $130,600 to $179,600 annually
